When I think about how far this little dream has come, my heart goes straight back to where it all began — with two women who quietly shaped my life, my faith, and my love for fashion.

My grandmothers, Frankie Lou Slaydon-Green and Rose Aline Hebert-Pavlu, lived lives marked by simplicity, strength, and grace. They taught me that true beauty isn’t found in abundance, but in appreciation — that confidence comes not from what we wear, but from the heart that wears it. Their legacy is the heartbeat of Slaydon & Rose, and every thread of this brand carries a piece of their spirit.

And now, almost ten years since this boutique first came to life, I can finally share something I’ve dreamed about since the very beginning:

And I can’t help but smile when I think about all the people who have been dreaming this dream right alongside me — my sweet friends, family, and the incredible Slaydon & Rose team. From day one, we’ve talked about “someday” manufacturing our own line, and now that day is here. There’s so much joy and excitement in our little circle right now — it feels like we’re all jumping for joy together, watching a shared hope finally come to life.

When I saw the finished piece for the first time, I couldn’t help but tear up. I thought of my grandmothers’ hands, my team’s laughter, and the prayers that carried this vision through every season. This moment belongs to all of us — every person who believed in what Slaydon & Rose could be.

Launching this first manufactured dress feels like closing a circle that started long ago on a bedroom floor in Church Point, Louisiana — surrounded by sketches, dreams, and a heart full of hope.

God has a beautiful way of bringing things back around in His timing. What once felt like a far-off dream is now a tangible reality — one that carries the fingerprints of family, faith, and favor.
